Parking: Park at Benicia Community Park, there is ample parking there. Walk past the disc course area to the bottom of the flying area.
Ideal Conditions: East, 4 to 15 mph
Workable Conditions: NE and SE winds are also workable
Notes: Gateway is used for both flying and kiting. If you are kiting, then be aware of any pilots
in the sky and give them the right of way. The hill is amazing and kiting can be done at the very
bottom, the very top, or anywhere in between. If you are going to kite, be ready to fly with full
gear checks in case you go for an unintentional flight. Be aware of the horizons on all sides of
the hill including the top of the hill. These are compression zones where many people have
gone for unpleasant drags. It is best to stay in the middle of the area away from the lateral
edges and away from the top.
