This is our most popular course. The P2 training is a complete course for you to earn your wings.  Upon completion, you will be issued a P2 rating with the United States Hang-gliding and Paragliding Association (USHPA).  This rating allows you to fly at regulated sites unsupervised. We spend as much or as little time as needed for you to be confident in your abilities and become a fully competent paraglider pilot.  The training sessions are unlimited! We're not just a school, we're a group of dedicated teachers and students who are interested in building a lifelong community of friends who share the same passion for flying.

Details:

The majority of the training days will take place in the Vallejo area. A typical training day consists of 3 to 4 hours in the field learning to ground-handle the paraglider, launch, fly, and land safely. We are very flexible with scheduling and you can come out and train as often or seldom as you desire. We pride ourselves on strong communication so you can plan your training/flying days with your schedule. The student to instructor ratio is often 1 to 1 but will not be larger than 5 to 1.

A motivated student with good weather could earn their P2 in a week or two. The average length of time is about 2 months. We do not want you to be in a hurry! The price is the same no matter how long you take and we prefer to spend as much time with you as possible.

Gear will be provided during training and we will help you to decide on your own gear once we understand your personal situation. We can get you discounted prices on new gear or help you to find safe used gear.

After you have earned your P2 and are free to fly without supervision, we encourage you to always keep learning. We will be there to help you earn your more advanced ratings.  Free training towards more advanced ratings is available with the purchase of your complete gear package.
